Mike and Pearl stopped for 2 days on their way south, what a nice surprise.
I went to Florida to meet my Sister and Rowley at my Mom's. Then 2 days at the beach, it was a little cold but we didn't care.
Looks like big foot had been on the beach before us.
Linda picked out a great spot right on the beach to stay.
We've been busy exploring the Outerbanks, visting the Governer's Mansion in New Bern and working on the boat. Time just seems to fly by. It's been nice having the car so that we can go on road trips when ever we feel like it. We have a great community of friends here, getting together every morning for coffee, taco night is Wednesday, jazz night is Thursday. And, of course oysters at MJ's on Tuesday.
Road trip to little Washingtion, where New Bern has bears they have crabs. We're trying to explore a few places to see if we want to visit them by boat.
Shriner's Parade, I've seen a few of these before but a whole parade of nothing but different cars. They are having a ball even though it was a very cold day.
Oh by the way if you know of anyone that's looking for a boat, please let us know.
We aren't sure what the next step will be, another sailboat, trawler, land yacht, who knows. Need to sell this one first and we are not in any hurry.

Glad to hear you are enjoying New Bern. Interesting to hear that you are thinking of selling SOLMAR and making some changes. I hope all goes well as that turns out. We will be making some changes too. I am "retiring" from the part time position I have at the U of Houston at the end of May, leaving Houston, and not at all sure what we will do. We will be back in Maine in the summer, but who knows after that. Our eMail has changed to j1(at)jstorm, com
